What We Look For in Our Chefs
At Kimolar, we hold our chefs and cooks to the highest standards, not only in their culinary skills but in their overall professionalism and character. If you're good at what you do, still willing to learn, improve, and prove yourself, we want you in our network. We seek individuals who are passionate, dedicated, and eager to grow within our team. KNOWING HOW TO COOK IS NOT ENOUGH. Here are some of the qualities we expect from our chefs and cooks:
Our chefs must demonstrate exceptional cooking skills, good hygiene, creativity, and a deep understanding of various cuisines. A minimum of 1 year training from a reputable culinary school or professional experience working in private residences/chef de partie in restaurant.
Fluency in English, with the ability to speak and write with correct grammar and spelling, is essential. Clear and effective communication with clients and team members is crucial. Owning a data active phone for mandatory virtual meetings and submissions is essential
We value punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Our chefs must present themselves well and maintain a high standard of hygiene and appearance.
A willingness to learn, adapt fast, and continuously improve is vital. We seek chefs who are open to feedback, getting trained to meet our company standards and eager to enhance their skills.
Chefs must be able to create a positive dining experience for our clients. This includes understanding their needs, being courteous, and going above and beyond to exceed expectations and ensure satisfaction & professionalism. Our membership plan offers access to PREP training on this & teaches how to retain jobs longer.
Working collaboratively with other staff members, respecting their roles, and contributing to a harmonious work environment is essential.

Screening & Selection
Registration
Direct membership (₦85,000)
Discounted upfront payment that unlocks full membership benefits including PREP training, certificate, chef uniform, access & eligibility for work assignments.
Bond membership (₦120,000)
Upfront 30% commitment fee of ₦36,000 and the balance settled via salary deductions over 3 months. It includes full membership benefits & PREP training access after the commitment fee payment.
Deferred method (₦125,000)
No upfront payment, the full fee is deducted over 3 months, but access to PREP training only unlocks after the second salary deduction.

Free Practical Training & Assessment
After full membership & assigned job, you'll have access to free hands-on refresher training holding once/twice a year to maintain our service standards.
Chef Uniform
We provide a full uniform and apron at no extra cost once you're onboarded and fully registered so you look the part as we take our image and professionalism seriously.
Membership Recognition Event (Optional)
An exclusive networking and recognition event celebrating certified Kimolar members. Attendees receive their certificates, awards, feature in our chef network profiles and connect with other chefs, team and industry partners.
Community & Accountability
Members operate within a professional private chef community with check-ins, performance reviews & support systems. You're not navigating this industry alone and you'd never have to double as a housekeeper/maid.
Membership Training
Access to PREP- Private Residential chef Excellence Program; a 2weeks mandatory online onboarding training that prepares private chefs for success beyond knowing how to cook & helps you retain good jobs & clients, certificate upon completion is included & given both virtually / during membership event
Long-term Security
Membership means you're part of the team for a full year. What We Look For in Our Housekeepers & Cleaners
At Kimolar, our cleaning and housekeeping team is held to the same high standards as our chefs. You will be working in private homes and exclusive residences, which means trust, thoroughness and professionalism are nonnegotiable. If you take pride in your work, show up on time, and treat every home like your own, we want to hear from you.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of professional or domestic cleaning/housekeeping experience is required. Basic spoken English & willingness to learn are essential.
